Rights of Employees to Express Breast Milk in the Workplace

The Department of Civil Service recently released Attendance and Leave Manual Policy Bulletin 2025-01,  providing updated guidance regarding employees of New York State and their right to express breast milk in the workplace. 

Employees do not need to enter paid break time in LATS-NY. If additional time is needed beyond the 30 minutes of paid break time, the following miscellaneous leave codes are available in LATS-NY.
