Due to extreme weather conditions on December 2, 2019, all non-essential New York State employees in Albany, Schenectady, Columbia, Greene, Fulton, Montgomery, Washington, Rensselaer, Ulster, Schoharie and Saratoga counties were directed not to report to work and did not have to charge accruals.
Non-essential employees should charge code 1301-Excused Time by GOER for these excused absences. Non-essential employees who requested time off in anticipation of the expected weather conditions, and received approval, do not have to charge accruals. If employees already had prior approval to take all or part of Monday, December 2, 2019 off from work for reasons other than the impending weather (i.e., medical appointments or procedures, vacation, personal time, etc.), they cannot use the Excused Time by GOER leave code and must charge appropriate accruals for the preapproved time.
