The Governor’s Office of Employee Relations has authorized a deadline extension for eligible employees to use compensatory time off earned for work between 37.5 and 40 hours per week that would otherwise expire on March 31, 2021.
The new expiration date for those hours is December 31, 2021. After December 31, 2021, the use of unused time will be governed by current rules.
Once their timesheet for the pay period that includes March 31, 2021 is submitted, approved, and processed, eligible employees will see this time appear on their timesheets in LATS-NY under a new miscellaneous leave category called NonComp21.
Administrative timesheet cycle employees (timesheets that end on March 31, 2021) will begin seeing their NonComp21 time on their LATS-NY timesheets the week of April 12.
Institution timesheet cycle employees (timesheets that end on April 7, 2021) will begin seeing their NonComp21 time on their LATS-NY timesheets the week of April 19.
